| Before Calling us.... |
|
If you have problems with either email or your web site please FIRST try performing a random Google Search. If you are unable to do this then please reboot BOTH your PC and router or modem. Check all cables.
If this does not resolve the problem (and you can still not perform a Google Search) the problem would appear to be either your equipment or your broadband connection. Contact your broadband provider for help (that may be us, or it may be a 3rd party). If we provided your equipment then please contact us even if we do not provide your broadband.

OUTLOOK SETUP

The instructions below will help you you
set up Outlook correctly (screenshots
are Outlook 2003 - other
versions/software will differ but the
principles will be the same) |

In Outlook 2003: - Adding or changing
an email account. 1) From Main
Menu, select Tools, and from the
dropdown Email Accounts....... |

You will now see the dialogue box below,
ensure "View or Change....." option
is set and then click Next (or select
"Add a new e-mail account if creating a
new account) |

| 3)
You will now see a list of accounts you
have set up. Select the account you
want to change, and click the Change
button (assuming updating an existing
account - if creating new account click
"Add" and you will be given a list of
account types you can create - select
"POP3" and then click "Next"). |

Now you will see the screen below,

Now......... basically complete the
boxes:
User Information
- "Your Name" is a friendly
name - people will see this and
it will normally include your
name/department and/or company
name
- Email address - this is the
email address you wish replies
to come to. It should be a valid
email address you have set up
with us (call on 01905
371041 if uncertain). Do not
make a mistake here else when
people reply to you, you will
not receive their reply!
Server Information
- Server information -
Incoming POP - use
"mail.pinkdylan7.net" unless
advised otherwise.
- Server information -
Outgoing SMTP - if you are not
using our broadband, this will
usually be provided by your ISP.
Please contact your ISP for
details. If we are your ISP then
use mail.pinkdylan7.net.
Logon Information
- Under Logon Information
enter the user name and password
we have provided you with. Call
on 01905 371041 if you
need help. We will require proof
of identity before supplying
this info over the phone.
NOTE about OUTGOING SERVER -
Authentication
- IF you have used
mail.pinkdylan7.net as your
outgoing server, you MUST use
"Authentication". To set
Authentication click on the
"More Settings" and you will see
a new dialogue box as below
(click on the "Outgoing Server"
tab). You must tick the box "my
outgoing server (SMTP) requires
authentication". Click the
button that says "use same
settings as my incoming server".
NOTE: We only allow our outgoing
server to be used when sending
out mail with a return email
address that is provided for you
by us and hosted by us. If you
wish to send out email with a
return address provided by any
third party you must request
outgoing server details from
that third party.
